Track and Strand

The learnings “strands” in senior high school refer to the different areas
of expertise under the program while the career “tracks”
refers to the general categories that each different field of study belongs
to. Strand is used to indicate the disciplines within a learning area, e.g.
history, geography, economics, and civics under “social studies” each
with its own associated goals for learning while track refers to a method
used by many secondary school to group students according to their
perceived ability, IQ, or achievement levels.
STRAND- STEM (Science Technology Engineering
and Mathematics)
STEM stands for Science,
Technology, Engineering,
and Mathematics strand.
Through the STEM strand,
senior high school students
are exposed to complex
mathematical and science
theories and concepts which
will serve as a foundation
for their college courses.

STRAND- HUMSS (Humanities and Social Sciences)
This strand focuses on the study of
human behavior and social
changes, and analysis or arts
culture literature and politics. It can
lead to the degree of Bachelor of
Secondary and Elementary
Education, Bachelor of Arts and
Communication, Journalism
Library and Information Science,
Bachelor of Arts Majoring in
Social Studies philosophy.

TRACK- CSS (Computer System Services)
The CSS program provides
knowledge and skills in
diagnosing and troubleshooting
problems and personal
computer systems network and
its parts. CSS strand can lead to
the degree of Bachelor of
Science Major in Computing
Science Computer Engineering
Information Technology

TRACK- OAP (Organic Agriculture and Production)
OAP is a system that sustains
the health of soils ecosystem
and people it relies on
ecological processes
biodiversity and cycles to
local condition rather than the
inputs with adverse effects.
This strand can lead to the
sugar technological and
business agriculture.
