What is sleep?

• Sleep is essential for a persons health


and wellbeing. According to the
National Sleep Foundation (NSF),
millions of people do not get enough
sleep and many suffer from lack of
sleep. It is not healthy to receive less
than the amount we are supposed to
sleep to each night.
Sleep Deprivation
• Sleep deprivation, also known as sleep insufficiency or sleeplessness
• In the article, “sleep and disease risk”,if you are not getting enough sleep ar night,
it could put you in to high risk for a heart desease,strokes.
Improve Concentration and
productivity

• Sleep is important for various aspects of


brain function.
• Cognition ,concentration, productivity
and performance are all effected.
• On a similar note, getting enough sleep
can improve academic performance in
children and for young adults
Inflammation

• Poor sleep can have a major effect on


inflammation in the body.
• Sleep plays a key role in the regulation
of our central nervous system.
• Sleep loss , especially from
disturbed sleep is known as
active inflammatory signaling
pathways and lead to higher
levels of undesirable markers of
inflammation.

• In conclusion, sleep is a very important


thing. Sleep can benefit you in a lot of
ways as specially improving our physical
health.
• We must get enough sleep to look and feel
fresh and healthy every day.
