CHAPTER ONE

1.INTRODUCTION

This chapter will deal with the background of the study, problem statement, proposed solutions, objectives and significance of the project

2.BACKGROUND
This health system entails the online consultation in regards to skin care with specific doctors and experts in the skin care department

Before then people gave information through physical sessions in the hospitals and it required booking appointments with the skin therapists
as they are few hence needed plenty time and they also got the feedback from the therapists when they personally visited the doctors. This
needed someone to access to the specific location of Skin care health centers which was hectic
This system will help users communicate efficiently to the skin therapists and explain their problems without fear of which their data will be
recorded in a technological system by the therapists and they can get their products with ease
3. PROBLEM STATEMENT

Nowadays people find it difficult to get to specific health centers which deal with skin therapy and the dermatologists to help solve the skin care
routines
It has become also quite difficult to access the specific skin products that relate to your skin problems (including hormonal imbalance, acne etc.),
people outside normally suggest any product without consulting doctors and it ends up harming them as it is each person has a different type of
skin and a different skin issue
There are social media platforms which provide people with access to their skin care products without lining them to their skin problems and
hence end up affecting the users which affects their health
People don't get to share their problems online with the doctors because there's no platform to do so and if you're able to access the site then
you are only required to visit the doctor or skin therapist physically but not share your problems online which becomes a problem because the
skin therapist might be in another country and this requires a lot of expenses which one may not afford
This Skin care health system will help with online consultations effectively and the doctors will also help provide the skin care products if not
they will prescribe the specific products the patients should get as compared to the older systems which did not give the specific product unless
you yourself had the knowledge of the skin products you needed which wasn't precise

4.PROPOSED SOLUTION

I intend to develop a skin care health system that will connect patients to available doctors for online consultation to get help regarding their
skin care issues
If the system is not able to provide the most suitable results then it urges patients to go for blood test, x-rays, scanning so that the next time the
patient logs in they may be able to upload an image for those reports and the doctor logs in and finds the images
The system will also allow doctors to email the skin care product subscriptions in a printable format that is after the patients/users have sent the
requests and they have been scheduled to be served adequately
5. OBJECTIVES

The specific objectives of this project are:

1) To build an environment where various patients who needing doctors help at their home or at a distance can consult the doctors and the skin
therapists concerning their issues by creating a space where patients' login and key in their details and skin issues

2) to enable patients send their images regarding the skin issues/diseases since we all have different problems and different skin tones and

types After they've logged in they can also get an option of sending their pictures with the problems

3) To enable patients get immediate feedback and doctors also to discuss the remedies and give them the subscriptions through email

The main and most important objective is to develop the system which will consist of a doctors'/therapists login panel where they log in to the
system and see patient requests for consultations and images at the end the patients are able to get their solutions by printing their sent
subscriptions which entails the medicines and skin care products for the problem, after this the users/patients can go and acquire the products
in the nearby pharmacy and beauty store if necessary

6. JUSTIFICATION

I would love to bring encouragement and improve each person's skin so that people would be comfortable in their complexion better yet
without harming themselves which would make them bold and happy in life
The system will be best for this as it would provide the correct and most efficient products for the users to use because it has identified the
skin issue and provided the qualified product and medicine with the help of the skin therapist concerning the problem
CHAPTER TWO

7.LITERATURE REVIEW

While researching I found a beauty /skin care store called Keyara Botanicals that deals with skin care and ships products from USA, CHINA,
Korea and UK

They deal with health/beauty and deliver all their products online and physically you can buy them all over East Africa and you can visit the
store located in Nairobi and get the product you need
This is efficient only when the customer goes to get the product he/she wants but there's no consultation whatsoever in the stores to solve your
problem it can be more less wasteful as you need a skin therapist to recommend you the specific products concerning your skin problem

I found this analogue since they have no space for the skin therapists to discuss the issues with the patients to solve their problems they only
have the seller whose only work is to sell the products but not to provide guidance for the patients in need which is crucial and it will be wastage
of money if someone has to get a product that is not useful to them
Reference: https://keyara.co.ke/

There are also similar beauty skin care stores that only have online delivery services but with a platform for consultation then skin care can be
informative and very helpful to individuals e.g.;
I also found another health care /beauty store called Naima Cosmetics that imports international skin care products at wholesale and retail
prices which is located in Next Gen Mall Nairobi
They help in delivering their skin care products in Nairobi as they allow users to download Naima cosmetics app and order their items

In this case study only the cosmetics provider sells out products but do not give the patients the required and adequate information concerning
the products, this brings complains and bad reviews concerning the health care store yet the relevant sellers are not dermatologists and well
processioned to help the users and patients get their products
Their only work is to sell the product the customer needs with specification which is manual as the sellers should also be trained skin specialists
or at least have knowledge concerning the products and the advantages, side effects to the patient as some are allergic to some products and
recommendations for the skin care product as to which a good health care system is required to implement this and help users who are not
well informed about their skin problems to get help and be satisfied

8.METHODOLOGY 8.1RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

In order to get information concerning skin Care in this system I will have to
I)Conduct a survey at home w starting with those who have skin issues and ask them if the products they use are effective by using paper
questionnaires to collect the data
ii) interview sellers one on one at the skin stores on what basis they sell the specific products and use my phone to record the statements while
taking down notes
ii)observe how patients at beauty stores inquire about their products and skin issues and how they are helped using checklists for structuring the
evaluation of performance present

8.2DEVELOPMENT METHODOLOGY

In this system the Agile methodology is convenient to develop the system

Agile methodology is a software development process that utilize incremental changes with a focus on quality and attention to detail

Requirements

Phase l; Requirements -an initial documentation that will list all requirements before designing e.g. end result of project, features that will
support it e.g. different font sizes, features that won't support t e.g. animations
Phase 2: Design-during first iteration the product owner assembles their development team and introduces the requirements created during
previous stage
Phase3: Development and coding

Writing the code and converting design documentation into the actual software within software development process

Phase 4: integration and testing

Making sure the software is bug free and compatible with everything else that the developers have written before A series of tests is

conducted to ensure the code is clean

Phase 5: Implementation and deployment

Application is deployed on to the servers and provided to the customers either for the demo or the actual use

Phase 6: Review
Once all of the previous deployment phases are complete the product owner reviews the progress made towards completing the
requirements
