Kalimat aktif (active voice) adalah kalimat dimana subject-nya melakukan pekerjaan, sebaliknya

Kalimat pasif (passive voice) adalah kalimat dimana subject-nya dikenai pekerjaan oleh object kalimat.
BASE FORMULA FOR PASSIVE VOICE

AUXILARY VERB BE + V3
AUXILIARY VERB BE
1. Present (am, are, is)
2. Past (was, were)
3. Continuous (BE + V-ing) tambahkan being
sebelum V3
 EXAMPLE
PRESENT PAST CONTINUOUS
S + V1(s/es) S + V2 S + to be + V-ing
We mop the floor every day She cook rice yesterday The dog is biting the boy
The floor is mopped by us The rice was cooked by her The boy is being bitten by
every day yesterday the dog
The mechanics repairs the We bought some books Heru was playing games

Present Simple : S + Aux.Verb BE (is, am, are) + V3
Present Progressive : S + Aux. Verb BE (is, am, are) + being + V3
Past Simple : S + Aux Verb BE (was, were) + V3
Past Progressive : S + Aux. Verb BE (was, were) + being + V3
REMEMBER !!!!

There are sentences that cannot be changed into passive (sentences without object).

• She cries every night.

• I sleep early tonight.
• The bus is coming
• They are in the class
