MICRO DRONE WITH PROXIMITY
SENSING

ABSTRACT
     To make a Micro drone with LIDAR sensor.
   It is used to identify any obstacles in front
of it. The user is constantly alerted about 
  the proximity by modifying the LED and
   BUZZER frequency as per proximity . So
   Drone can be controlled accordingly to 
   Avoid collision. 
    The main reason of using a micro
drone instead of normal drone is that it is
more portable and light weight. Also, it can fly
in dense areas and narrow area with ease.

• THE ARDUINO PRO MINI IS A
MICROCONTROLLER BOARD BASED ON
THE ATMEGA328P.

• IT HAS 14 DIGITAL INPUT/OUTPUT PINS


(OF WHICH 6 CAN BE USED AS PWM
OUTPUTS), 6 ANALOG INPUTS, AN ON-
BOARD RESONATOR, A RESET BUTTON,
AND HOLES FOR MOUNTING PIN
HEADERS. A SIX PIN HEADER CAN BE
CONNECTED TO AN FTDI CABLE OR
SPARKFUN BREAKOUT BOARD TO
PROVIDE USB POWER AND
COMMUNICATION TO THE BOARD.

•LIGHT DETECTION AND RANGING (LIDAR)


SENSORS USE LIGHT ENERGY, EMITTED
FROM A LASER, TO SCAN THE GROUND AND
MEASURE VARIABLE DISTANCES. THE END
RESULT IS A RICH SET OF ELEVATION DATA
THAT CAN BE USED TO PRODUCE HIGH-
RESOLUTION MAPS AND 3D MODELS OF
NATURAL AND MAN-MADE OBJECTS
DRONE MOTORS

• Brushed motors  are used in micro


drones. Because of their low cost and
compactness.
• In a brushed motor a centrally located
rotor  is surrounded by a stator that
is lined with a pair of magnets of
apposing polarity.
• The rotational moment of the rotor is
caused due to the contact of
brushes of the rotors commutator with
a current supply.

DRONE BODY REMOTE CONTROLLER

By using the radio signals ,

BATTERY PCB BOARD

This is the battery that is used for A drone power distribution board
the micro drone. It has a capacity (PDB) is simply a printed circuit board
of 550mah and 3.7VLi-ion battery. (PCB) used to supply power from the
source to the various parts of a
drone. 
PLAN  OF  ACTION
Recognition of need :- As large drones cannot go through narrow areas . So
we thought micro drones can used in that place and we thought of making that.
Implementation:- So to make micro drone we are about to gather all the
required components .
Assembling and Testing :- After all required components are collected we
will commence the assembling of drone and testing it.
Finished product:- After the completion of required testing’s the drone is
ready to fly.
 TIME DURATION:- The time duration needed for this project is around 15 to 20
days.
