The word tawheed has been derived from
the Arabic roots و ح دit literally means
oneness and uniqueness.
It technically means that Allah is one in His
being and attributes, He is the only one who
is worthy to be worshiped and obeyed.
.Cont
The three kinds can be derived from the definition:
Tawheed in being: It means that Allah has no
relationship with any one.
Tawheed in atributes: the divine attributes are confined
to the being of Allah taa’la. Like the creation and
providing.
Tawheed in worship: Only Allah ta’la is worthy to be
worshiped
It is the most fundamental and important teaching of
Muhammad (S.A.W.S).
The polytheists of Makkah denied the oneness not the
existence of Allah.
• ما نعبدهم إال ليقربونا إلى هللا زلفى.
• إليلف قريش إيالفهم رحلة الشتاء والصيف فاليعبدوا رب هذاالبيت الذي أطعمهم
من جوع وآمنهم من خوف.
• أال كل شيئ ما خال هللا باطل.
•It differentiates a true Muslim from a Kafir. The monotheist
is Muslim and polytheist is kafir although they believe in
existence of Allah.
•It is the basic teaching of Quran. The other subjects are
either secondary things or they are arguments for the
oneness of Allah.
•It is the concept which has been propagated by all the
Prophets because it is the common message in all the
religions.
•All the previous nations have been doomed because of its
denial except two nations: 1st is the nation Of Shuaib (A.S)
and the 2nd is the nation of Loot (A.S) who were doomed for
committing the sins.
Gate way to Islam
The primary kalima of Islam.
ال إله إال هللا محمد رسول هللا.
It is to be recited for interring into the circle of Islam.
the real difference lies in confession and action
accordingly. So one is perfect Muslim and the other is
non-perfect muslim.
The word إلهhas plural in Arabic language ))آ لهةas this
word is used for the deities in different religions.
One who is worshipped, because of greatness.
EFFECTS OF
TAWHEED ON
HUMAN LIFE:
1. Universal outlook:
2. Self respect:
3. Humbleness:
4. Virtuous and
upright
5. Patience and trust
6. Determination
7. Bravery in man
8. Contentment and
complacence
9. Obeys and
observes God’s
Law
Universal outlook:
He looks on everything in the universe as
belonging to the same Lord he himself
belongs to. His intellectual horizons widen
and his outlook becomes as liberal and as
boundless as is the kingdom of God.
The believers knows that Allah alone can
benefit or harm a person, so he never bows
his head to anyone other than Allah Taala.
A believer never becomes proud of power,
wealth and worth because he knows that
every thing is provided by Allah and He can
take away it.
This belief makes man virtuous and upright, because a
believer knows that there is no other means of success
except purity of soul and righteousness of behavior. As
against this, the Kafirs and the mushriks always live on
false hopes.
The believer never becomes despondent .The belief of
Tawheed imparts to his heart extra ordinary
consolation, because he knows that Allah is the
Master of all the treasures.
This belief produces a very strong degree of
determination; nothing can make him give up his
resolution.
Because the believer knows that his life, properties
and every thing belong to Allah, no one can give life
and take away it. A time has been ordained for him.
This belief creates contentment and prevents its bearer
from unfair means of earning. He knows that Allah bestows
honour, power and wealth as he will and man’s duty is to
struggle.
The believer knows that Allah knows every thing and
every thought and intention. Allah will punish him if
he does not leave sins.
