However, there are limited secondary school and no university options. While the government spends 20% of its budget on education, more funding is needed to expand secondary and tertiary education opportunities, which would help raise the country's economy, quality of life, and life opportunities for citizens of Vanuatu. NGOs and donor countries provide support through building schools, donating books and money, and funding teachers and students, but more assistance is still required.
