    SAMPLE SIZE
    The sample size required in each of the 2 groups was 55. To allow for
    dropout of patients, we aimed to recruit 120 patients in total. These
    numbers granted more than 80% power to detect the expected
    differences in cumulative event-free survival between the 2 groups.
