Dynamic Head Calculation
• Dynamic head act as an “additional head loss”. It is calculated based
on the flow condition of the fluid. Dynamic Head Equation:

Kt is constant which is consist of fitting constant (Kf) dan piping constant (Kp). It can be concluded that the fitting constant
represent the head loss due to fitting fitment in the piping system. Thus, the piping constant also give additional head loss as
results of several fluid flaw which is generated by the pipe such as fluid speed, pipe diameter, and pipe material.

Fitting Constant(Kf)
• The value of fitting constant can be obtained by adding all fitting in
the pump systems. The value of Kfn is based on the reference table

Pipe Constant (Reynold Number)
• The value of pipe constant are determined by calculation of friction
between the fluid and the piping system on certain value of fluid
speed.

If the Reynolds number < 2000 then the flow is on laminar condition, otherwise if the Reynolds number > 4000
the flow is turbulence
