Regular verbs form
their past tense and
past participle by
adding 'ed'.

form their past
tense and their past
participle in a
different way.

Situation in the past
•Shauna studied Japanese for five years.
•They sat at the beach all day.
•They did not stay at the party the entire
time.
•We talked on the phone for thirty
minutes.
Series of actions in the past
A. Give the past form of the verb in the
parenthesis
TASK 4: Underline and change it!
Underline the verb. Then, change it to simple past
form.
