Corn stalks are the most

a paper matted sheet, usually common leftovers
made up of cellulose fibers, following corn harvesting.
formed on a wire screen from Corn stalks have the
water suspension highest cellulose content,
accounting for around half
of the total.
RESEARCH OBJECTIVES

• The main objective of this study is to seek the

possibility of using dried corn stalks as the main
component for paperboard production. Specifically, it
aims the following:
RESEARCH OBJECTIVES
1. Measure the mechanical properties of Corn Stalk as paperboard in terms of
its tensile strength.

2. The significant difference between corn stalk as paperboard to that of the

commercial product in terms of its mechanical properties.

3. Measure the acceptability of Corn Stalk as paperboard to its physical

properties in terms of its appearance and texture.

4. The significant difference between corn stalk as paperboard to that of the

commercial product in terms of its physical properties.
HYPOTHESIS

1.There is no possibility of using corn stalk as the main

component for paperboard production with acceptable
characteristics such as: tensile strength, appearance,
and texture.

2. There is no significant difference of using corn stalk

as the main component for paperboard production with
acceptable characteristics such as tensile
strength,appearance, and texture.
