 Introductio

In today’s Morning Meeting, the students will sit in a circle on the
rug and I will greet the students with a good morning and tell them
that we are going to be talking about Thanksgiving in today’s
meeting. Since we are a week away from Thanksgiving, the class
will be talking about things that they are thankful for,
complimenting and being kind to one another, and playing a
Thanksgiving style Would You Rather game. The class will begin by
greeting each other, then sharing ideas, playing a game, and finally,
to wrap the activities up, we will go through some key ideas about

what Thanksgiving is and talk about what we are going to do for the
remainder of the day.
 Greeting (1,2,3,POP!)
The students will count off by fours; however, the
fourth person will shout “POP!” and pop up,
instead of saying “four.”
The class will greet that student and say, “Good
morning, (students name).”

The student will respond by saying “Good

morning class,” and tell the class what their
favorite Thanksgiving food is.
The process will continue until everyone has been
