Introduction

 Thus Mobile Assisted Maternal Health Information Management System

project is target to give service about Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH)
services in Ethiopia.
 The widespread adoption and use of mobile technologies are opening new and
innovative ways to improve health and health care delivery in the world.
 Mobile applications can help people manage their own health and wellness,
promote healthy living, and gain access to useful information when and where
they need it.
2
 This project is intended to serve as the implementation of projects that The
Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia (FGAE)has committed to reach a
goal designated maternal Health as its highest priorities.
 The primary aim of this study is to examine the effectiveness of mobile health
on maternal health care service utilization in Ethiopia.

3
Problems Statement
Ethiopia has one of the highest rates of maternal mortality in Africa. According to
the 2016 Ethiopian Demographic Health Survey (EDHS), more than 1400 mothers
died per 100,000 live births in 1990, and the mortality rate dropped to 801 in
2000, 673 in 2005 and 600 in 2011 per 100,000 live births [4].
Maternal health problems are also the causes for more than seven million
pregnancies to result in stillbirths or infant deaths within the first week of life.

5
Objectives of the project
 The general objective of this project is to develop a mobile assisted maternal
health information management system for Ethiopian Family Guidance
Association.

6
Specific Objective
The following are the specific objectives of the project.
 To set appointment for mothers.
 To notify pregnant checkup date for mothers .
 To set discussion with each other/Chating .
 To post pregnancy related information for mothers.
 To reduce maternal morbidity and mortality due to pregnancy ,child birth and
unsafe abortion
 To promote reproductive health awareness for adult girls.
7
Success criteria
 Collect complete requirements of users(SRS documents and user survey).
 Project completed on time (Project Closure document) .
 Project finished within budget (Project Closure document) .
 Good performance of system developed (test report).
 get necessary information from the application installed on their mobile (User
survey).
 women able to talk/contact physicians from distance without physical contact
(hospital record system report) .
8
Requirement
The system must enable the users to do the following activities as listed bellow.
 Create new user account.
 Chat and post images with doctors.
 Assign date to contact doctors and nurses.
 View doctors notification.
 View doctors appointment.
 The system must be secure and provide access to employees only.
 The System must be fast and able to handle many users at the same time.
9
Development Methodology
 Development method is also another vital constraint for enhancing the quality
products and help to finished project successfully .
 We proposed prototype and Iterative model to develop our project because our
project needs stakeholder feedback and develop modules iterativly by
accepting feedback. So as to increase productivity and quality of the system.

11
Cost Estimation
 The cost is a basic constraint to accomplish the project within a given time.
Clear estimation of cost is needed for the project so as to finish project with
planned budget.
