Meeting to review the preparedness , policies


implemented on Cyber Security and to
understand current mechanism followed by
field formations to prevent cyber attacks.
Points discussed during last meeting held on
07.12.2022
 Replace of all pirated and obsolete OS and application within two months.
 Remove all unmanaged network switched unused switches.
 To avail the facility of CyTrain Portal for training of staff on cyber related subjects.
 CISO/ISOs to identify their Critical Information Infrastructure (CII).
 Phase out broadband, 3G/4G connectivity, if any, and shift to NICNET for enhanced
cyber security
 Change the username & password of all CCTV connected through internet
 Remove the admin rights on all the devices.
 First Wednesday of month is celebrated as Cyber Jagrukta Diwas.
 Audit of IT infrastructure may be carried out with the help of designated agencies. 
 No official message/letter/ information will be shared on WhatsApp or any social
media platform. 
 All correspondence will be shared through NIC mail ID only.
 Smart devices/ Smart watch/ IOT devices etc. will not be connected with official PCs
 Implementation of secured air-gapped intranet network.

Points for discussion
 Month-wise annual work plan on Cyber Security for the year 2023-24 should
be submitted by 15th February 2023 in a consolidated manner by FTR HQ.
 Register on Igot Platform- https://igotkarmayogi.gov.in/
Sno, Name, Rank,Unit, Course, email ID, Phone no.

 Ensure vide publicity of the DG’s video on cyber awareness with all personnel.
 Use of NIC email briefcase instead of Google drive.
 Online pdf converter must be stopped immediately.
 All passwords changed on IOT devices by fortnightly.
 Courses on Cyber crime.
 Details of cyber crime

Points for discussion
 Avoid official works on personal devices and personal work on Official
devices.
 MPT (Media Transfer Protocol) devices should not be connected with Official
systems.
 Use of USB strictly prohibited –USB port disable
 If any incident of cyber crime/hacking report within golden hours -6 hr
 Classified/Sensitive data should not be stored on the desktop connected to the
internet.
 Anti virus for mobile and Computer
 Iinventory of IOT devices, Budget details on IMS
 Cyber crime
