The present tenses
 1.The Present Continuous Tense:
a) I am listening to a lecture in English.
b) I am studying Anatomy.
c) Tomorrow afternoon I am playing
tennis with Ann. ( definite
arrangement in the near future )
d) He is always loosing his keys.
e) At six I am bathing the baby.
- for deliberate actions, BUT: verbs of the
senses, feelings, mental activity,
possession

2. The Simple Present Tense
a) He smokes.
b) I go to church on Sundays. ( always,
never, occasionally, often, sometimes, usually, every
day, twice a month, etc., when, whenever )
c) PEACE TALKS FAIL ( in newspaper
headlines )
d) Suddenly the window opens and
he appears. ( dramatic narrative )
e) We leave Mostar at 8.00 next
