THEME: Endangered animals.

MEMBERS:
Carlos Fernando Torres Marcelo (La cortarrama peruana).
INTRODUCTION:

 Hello classmates and teacher, today we will talk about some animals
that are in danger of extinction and we will know a little more about
them.
The Peruvian Cortarama
(La cortarrama peruana)

 The Peruvian lopper was forgotten for more than a century and was only known in a small
forest near Chiclayo, north of Peru.
Characteristics
 It measures 18.5 cm. It has a relatively short and powerful beak, with a somewhat
rounded tip and slightly serrated edges. A powerful crest that bristles when
alarmed is striking. The more colorful male is ash gray on its dorsal areas, darker
on the wings and tail, which also have various white markings.
Habitat:
 The "Peruvian plant cutter" is distributed from Piura to Ancash, at altitudes from 0 to 550
m (Collar et al. 1992, Clements & Shany 2001). Its predominant habitat is the equatorial
dry forest with shrubs and trees with low branches up to the soil of (Collar et al 1992).
Why are they in danger of extinction?
 It is clear that the population of the "Peruvian loppers" is in serious danger of extinction
due to habitat loss due to agricultural and urban expansion, logging, overgrazing,
especially goats, which does not allow the growth of the species. keys to the bird.
Message:
I make this message in order to reach several people so that in this
way we can help so that no more of this species suffers damage
because of all of us.
