◦ Planning, organizing, leading, and controlling
cannot function without the right people to do it.
With the right manpower, these functions can be
completed completely efficiently.
Optimum Utilization of Human
Resources
◦ Organizations spend money on recruitment,
selection, training and development of employees.
In order to get the optimum output from the
personnel, the staffing function should be performed
analytically and effectively.
 Development of Human Capital
◦ The management is required to know the manpower
requirements well in advance thus careful planning is
needed. It has also to train and develop the current
personnel for career development. This will meet the
requirements of the company in years to come.
Effective Use of Technology and Other
Resources
◦ Technology and resources are needed in an organization
and it will need people to utilize these. Staffing is ensuring
the right people to perform activities to use the technology
and resources of the organization properly. It is important
to choose the right people based on their knowledge, skills
and abilities (KSA).
Motivation of Human Resource
◦ The workers can be motivated through financial and non-
financial incentives but it should be carefully planned
because people are shaped many factors such as education
level, needs, socio-cultural factors, etc. that is why, the
human aspect of organization has become very important.
Building Higher Morale
◦ Workers are expected to contribute to the achievement of the
organizational objectives. By performing the staffing function
effectively, management can show the significance it attaches to the
personnel working in the enterprise. This will increase the morale
of the employees.
Reduces Cost Production
◦Having the right people minimize he wastage
and mistakes. If competent worker are being
hired, then it can help to trim down the cost of
production.
For Job Satisfaction
◦ Good staffing means placing the right people, in the
right place at the right time based on their KSA’s
and specialization which makes the employees
happy with their job assigned to them. This will
result to higher job satisfaction.
