Safety campaigns are usually plan to

improve the behavior based safety in an
organization. S & T organizing this year
campaign to develop & improve the Safety
Culture in OLMRTS, targeting the behaviors
of individuals and as a team resulting in
safe and complied operations.

What is Behavior Based Safety ?

A process that creates a safety partnership

between management and employees that
continually focuses people's attentions and actions
on theirs, and others, daily safety behavior.

BBS focuses on what people do, analyzes why they

do it, and then applies a research-supported
intervention strategy to improve what people do.

Bird’s Triangle
The accident triangle, also known as
Heinrich's triangle or Bird's triangle, is a
theory of industrial accident prevention. It
shows a relationship between serious Heinrich’s Triangle
accidents, minor accidents and near
misses. This idea proposes that if the
number of minor accidents is reduced then
there will be a corresponding fall in the
number of serious accidents.

Safety Culture Development:
Like the year 2022, S & T will arrange monthly topics for
employee awareness and issue posters.
S & T will share training material for the selected topic,
all departments will arrange trainings for team and at
the end of the month S & T will arrange online tests.

Operational & Passenger Safety: PLAN (CHECK) DO (TALK)

For the year 2023, S & T department will also put special
focus on the Audits, Inspections, Hazards identifications for
Operational Safety. O&M dept. will share hazards ACT (SPREAD) CHECK (TRY)
observation stats & actions taken. S & T will suggest & 行动 检查
support O&M dept. to mitigate major risks & safety issues.
S & T will be working on passenger safety like S & T working
on Escalators Fall, Elevators Stuck and ESB Pressing. S&T
will be needing support from all O&M department for the
reducing the number of incidents involving passengers &
staff.

Recognition & Reward:
To register and appreciate the efforts of individuals and
teams, S & T will arrange reward and recognition for
employees and departments.

It will encourage the employees to follow the safety rules

and make a good examples for others by recognizing their
efforts to improve OLMRTS safety culture.

Taking Ownership of Team Work for Safety:
This Year S&T also highlighting the importance of team
work in the safety. We can improve our safety and reduce
hazards exponentially if we perform, brainstorm together
and take the ownership of teams.

S&T will take initiatives to engage team leads in meetings,

campaigns and competitions.
