An 66-year-old man underwent an IJ catheter insertion, esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and stent insertion under general anesthesia for treatment of obstructive jaundice caused by choledocholithiasis and moderate cholangitis. During the procedure, the patient experienced significant hypotension lasting over 15 minutes that required intraoperative medications including remifentanil and norepinephrine infusions to control blood pressure.
