Design objectives

 Major objectives are :

– 1Mbps Uplink / 20Mbps Downlink at cell Edge

– Indoor Day light
– 3G grid reuse
– Deployment Within marketing outlines

OrangeFrance Telecom– DTRS/DIM/EDRA/IOD/Abdellah Bouirig-06/03/23 - 6

MaxTxPower and RS Power parameters setting
The theoretical Reference Signal power is calculated as follows :
PA ( W )
Theoritical RS Power 
1200 subcarriers

Suppliers advice to boost the RS by 3dB higher than the nominal value :
o Improve the HO performances and the cell accessibility
o Compensate the bad performances of Cat3 mobile characteristics

OrangeFrance Telecom– DTRS/DIM/EDRA/IOD/Abdellah Bouirig-06/03/23 - 7

Common channels offsets

 PDSCH attenuated by 3dB in order to keep the interference level to the same
level as before the boost .

OrangeFrance Telecom– DTRS/DIM/EDRA/IOD/Abdellah Bouirig-06/03/23 - 8

MHA parameters setting

• CellDLTotalPower+3dB for ALU

Automatic
Calculation of EIRP OrangeFrance Telecom– DTRS/DIM/EDRA/IOD/Abdellah Bouirig-06/03/23 - 10
Simulation under Asset 6 is still possible

 Simple Methodology
– Reuse of UMTS2100 cells
– Choose the suitable antennas from the LTE 2.6GHz
catalogue

– Pilot Power = RS Power (ref. tab1)

– Feeder Length = Feeder loss (m)
– MHA Type

 CPICH RSCP = RSRP

NB : virtual feeder with linear insertion loss of 1dB/m

OrangeFrance Telecom– DTRS/DIM/EDRA/IOD/Abdellah Bouirig-06/03/23 - 11

LTE arrays
 A large panel of LTE arrays + their combination
through compound arrays

OrangeFrance Telecom– DTRS/DIM/EDRA/IOD/Abdellah Bouirig-06/03/23 - 12

Example : LTE Cell interferes

 Cell interferers = NBS (CMC>4)

RSRP
