Feedback Mechanism

REPORTING IN SCIENCE
FEEDBACK MECHANISM
• A feedback mechanism is a physiological regulation
system in a living body that works to return the body
to its normal internal state, or commonly known as
homeostasis. In nature, feedback mechanisms can be
found in a variety of environments and animal types.
HEMEOSTASIS
• Hemostasis is the mechanism
that leads to cessation of
bleeding from a blood vessel. It
is a process that involves
multiple interlinked steps. This
cascade culminated into the
formation of a “plug” that closes
up the damageed site of the
blood vessel controlling the
bleeding.
• Hemeostasis is the first stage in
wound healing that can last for
two days. As soon as there is a
wound on the body, the blood
vessels in the wound area
constrict to reduce the blood
flow. This is known as
vasoconstriction.
What is the positive feedback mechanism
hemeostasis?
• A positive feedback loop occurs in nature when
the product of a reaction leads to an increase in
that reaction. If we look at a system in
homeostasis, a positive feedback loop moves a
system further away from the target of
equilibrium.
What is the example of positive feedback mechanism hemeostasis?

• Let's take a look at some of

the examples: Clotting
factors, fruit ripening, and
menstrual cycle. Each one
depicts what a positive
feedback mechanism is like:
Clotting factors are released
to seal a wound.
What is the example of negative feedback
mechanism hemostasis?
• Homeostasis is generally maintained by a
negative feedback loop that includes a
stimulus , sensor , control centre , and
effector . Negative feedback serves to
reduce an excessive response and to keep
a variable within the normal range.
Negative feedback loops control body
temperature and the blood glucose level.
What is the example of negative feedback
hemeostasis?
• Examples of processes that utilise negative feedback
loops include homeostatic systems, such as: There more
gulation (if body temperature changes, mechanisms are
induced to restore normal levels) Blood sugar regulation
(insulin lowers blood glucose when levels are high ;
glucagon raises blood glucose when levels are low)

TRUE OR FALSE

Write T if the statement is TRUE and write F if the statement is NOT TRUE.

1. Hemeostasis is the first stage in wound healing that can last for two days.

2. Body that doesnt works to return the body to its normal internal state, or
commonly known as homeostasis.

3. Each one depicts what a negative feedback mechanism is like: Clotting factors
are released to seal a wound.
4. Hemeostasis is all about menstrual cycle.
5. The wound would not be cured if you dont wash it and take a carefull of it.
