WHAT IS LITERATURE
• Etymology – From the Greek word “LITTERA”- means “Letters”
• Basically the meaning of literature is a collection of both oral and
written words. Mostly, expressed in artistic manner.
• Not all literatures were written in words.
• Before literatures were just words of mouth. Pass to generation to
generation.

• Popular Philosophies were Plato, Socrates, Sophocles, Aristotle, Aesop,
and many more.
• Different Greek Characters (ARES, ZEUS, RHEA, POSIEDON)
