WHAT IS CROSS OVER
CONNECTION?
Crossover cables These are used to connect two
computers or similar devices directly together, such as
computers or hubs.
Crossover cable cover other situations where devices of the same type are connected
together. This is very commonly used to connect computers when wireless internet is
not very reliable or when you don't want to rely on wireless internet to connect your
computer.
How does crossover work?
A crossover is an electronics device that takes a single
input signal and creates two or three output
signals consisting of separated bands of high-,
mid-, and low-range frequencies. The different
bands of frequencies feed the different speakers, or
“drivers,” in a sound system: tweeters, woofers,
and subwoofers.
HOW IS A CROSSOVER
CONNECTED?
crossover cable is a network cable used to connect two Ethernet network devices
directly, such as two computers without a switch or router in between
Crossover cable enables one to establish a direct connection between two computing
devices using Ethernet ports. It Connects two computers directly. You can connect
two hubs/switches by using the normal port in both switches and hubs
Do we need a crossover cable?
A so-called crossover cable can be used to directly connect
two computers via their Ethernet ports, but this may not be
necessary. The crossover cable takes the output on one end
of the cable and connects it to the input on the other. If
you're using an Ethernet switch or hub, the crossover
happens within that device. However, if you want to avoid
the hassle of introducing an external device with power
requirements, you can use a crossover cable. Another use for
cables is to connect two hubs together. The term "crossover
cable" is somewhat generic, but generally refers to a copper-
based twisted pair Ethernet cable.
