of people who are heroes in history. Municipal art is usually a sculpture located in front of government establishments and academic institutions to instill nationalism and serve a historical landmark to Filipinos and visitors. Community-based art refers to the community-based artistic activity with the use of different materials available in the area. It is usually based in deprived or remote areas often used for catalyst of change. Land art interacts with the nature and environment. Campaign-inspired promotes idea by making the idea visible to everyone. Architectural art is usually seen on malls or any enclosed concrete structure. Design- based is decorative and is often placed in parks and in outside commercial centers. The design usually harmonizes with the surroundings and infrastructure around the location. C. Mixed Art

Photojournalism is a combination of photography and journalism. Photos are used to help the readers view what is being narrated, like in newspaper. Photographic Alteration uses photographic devise to alter or edit images and add desired design in one touch. Mobile photography is photographs taken by a mobile phone. III. Contemporary Performing Arts A. Theatre and Performance Arts Performance Art is done live to convey message in a limited time. There maybe group of performers or solo that acts, paints, sings, or dance to convey a campaign. Performance maybe scripted, unscripted, spontaneous, or planned with or without the participation of audience. Theatre Art requires actors and actresses to connect to the audience to let them experience a real or imagined event through combination of gestures, speech, song, music and dance. There are theatre art styles seen in the Philippines: Realism is a style that shows actual situations that Filipinos are in. It focuses on the problems and the reaction to socio-economic- political issues encountered. Combination of Realistic and Non-Realistic style Brechtian style brought by a German playwright, Bertolt Brech, promotes audience reflective detachment and not emotional involvement. Musical Performance is a theatre art that uses music in expression of arts. Documentary style deals with the historical events and the life story of a specific person Short plays are skits used by starter before jumping out something big. B. Contemporary Dance

There are two contemporary dance styles in the Philippines: Disco dancing is a style characterized by the movement of the hip and pelvic, some jumps together with the raising of arms to the beat of music. Hip hop is a dance style that includes breaking, locking and popping. It is a freestyle or a spontaneous performance. Art form that has the power to speak through people’s mind, heart, and soul. It affects the mood, way of thinking and disposition of people listening to it.
