DIMENSIONING B

TOOLS, EQUIPMENT /
MATERIALS NEEDED
1. Drawing Board / Table 6. Drawing Bond
2. T- Square 7. Masking or scotch tape
3. Triangle ( 30*60 ) 45° 8. Drawing Pen ( UNI
4. Eraser PEN )
5. Drawing Pencil 9. Drawing paper
10. Triangular scale
( METRIC )
GENERAL PROCEDURE:
• 1. Prepare the layout drawing sheet.
• 2. Prepare the little block of the sheet.
• 3. Layout three (3) principal.
• 4. Drawn the isometric drawing.
• 5. And the Req. Dimension.
• 6. Submit the plate or proper time.
• 7. Prepare the assignment given by instructor.
PRECAUTION:
• A.) Dimension lines must be kept atleast ¼ " away from the object line and ¼ away from each
other .
• B.) Extension line must begin about ⅛" beyond the dimension line
• C.) Keep dimension between views if possible. Dimension line should not be placed upon a view
unless nessary.
• D.) Dimension are not to be repeated.
• E.) Dimension are not usually required to the left of the front view or the right of the RSU- right side
view. Dimension of the height of the view are supposed to be between the front view ( FV ) and the
side view (SV).
• F.) The which shows the shape most clearly is to be dimensioned this is usually the F.Y.
• G.) Sufficient dimensions need to be supplied for the construction of an object.
• H.) For dimensioning in a limited space, arrowheads should be reversed.
• I.) Center lines are used as extension lines in dimensioning distance of circles.
• J.) Hidden lines should not be dimensioned unless necessary.
• K.) Circles are dimensioned by giving the diameter.
• L.) Arcs are dimensioned by giving the diameter.
• M.) Holes should be dimensioned by means of arcs and arrowheads.
