What is communication?
COMMUNICATION COMMUNICATIONS
● a process of sharing ideas and opinions about issues, people, events
and places between or among persons through various channels with
the intent to gain common understanding. It refers to the technical means of communication or
the channels which messages are conveyed.

TO INFORM TO EDUCATE
Filipinos rely on mass media and the Internet to gain Watching educational shows on television, lecture videos
information about the country, government, its programs and using the internet
policies, pertinent laws, people, events, places, weather and
sports.
TO ENTERTAIN
POLITICAL- the media disseminate information to make SOCIOCULTURAL- television shows, movies, videos and
people aware about governments, wars, political conflicts, some Facebook and Instagram posts promote popular
elections, and other developments in the country and abroad. culture through customs, norms, beliefs, values,
superstitions, technologies, fashions, songs, dances, and
food that are seen in various media.
