JOB DESCRIPTION

● Performs all examinations (Routine and Special Examinations) on the different laboratory
departments for the purpose of aiding the treatment and diagnosis of disease following approved
standards and releasing reliable results.

● Performs phlebotomy procedures and verifies specimen and patient information and enters
data. Performs a variety of laboratory procedures on different body fluids such as urine, blood,
csf, sputum and other body fluids to confirm and verifies reports findings to clinician.

● Receives specimen and accept patient inquiries. Prepares and send specimens to reference
laboratories.

● Performs Quality Control procedures to ensure the quality of test results. Operate, maintain,
and calibrate the equipment used to ensure that it is operating efficiently and providing accurate
results. Recognized discrepancies and take appropriate actions.

● Maintains safe and clean working environment. Manage the disposal of all laboratory waste as
specified in Environment, Health and Safety procedures.

Education: BACHELOR OF SCIENCE in MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY

Training: None required

Experience: With experience (at least 1 year) preferred, but not necessary

Eligibility: R.A. 1080 (Board certification in Medical Technology administered by PRC)
