The Contact Partner form
• This form displays when
Customers click on the CONTACT
PARTNER button in your
PowerBI Partner showcase

• This form captures the Customer


contact information
Customer confirmation email

• Customers are sent a


confirmation email as
soon as they submit the
form, letting them know
you will be contacting
them shortly about their
interest in your solution
Partner lead notification

• You receive an email letting


you know that you received a
lead, which contains the
organization name

• You will need to access your

to retrieve the Customer’s
full contact information
How to ensure you receive your leads
Step 1: Lead contact email
When your first Solution Showcase is
published, your Power BI Directory Profile
will contain a new Offers Information section
- this is where you designate the contact email
for leads from your showcase - consider
specifying a distribution list instead of a single
person’s email

Step 2: Unique Report Key


Your Unique Report key to retrieve your lead
report will begin with ‘pkRptid’ and appears
near the bottom of your profile in the “Contact
Us Report Key” field
How to access your lead report
Step 1: Create your Certain Report login

• Visit the Certain reporting portal


• If you have not previously registered : Choose
“Otherwise - Click Here to Create”
• Register your email & create a password
• In the Microsoft Sponsor’s Email Address field enter:
pbiptnr@Microsoft.com

• An email goes to the Sponsor to approve access.


• After approval, you will receive a confirmation email and
will need to login to verify access using the email you
registered with.
How to access your lead report
Step 2: Login to your lead report
• Go to the reporting portal
• Login with the email & password you created
• On the Report Details page, enter the Unique ID found in your Power BI Directory profile near
the bottom. (Begins with pkRptID=)

• Click the “Get Report” Button, which will open a secured POP UP page with the management report for
your event only, so please enable them for this site*
*If you receive an error saying “the report is in your download folder”, this means the POP UPS were not enabled for this site, please go back and enable POP UPS.
Review the Event management report

The Event management report will include all customer information collected from the form
Any new leads will have the status set to “New Request”
Acknowledge the lead was received

• Once you receive the lead email,


you should login to the Certain tool
to view the Customer contact
information and contact the
Customer within 48 hours

• At that time, change the status of


the lead from “New Request” to
“Request Acknowledged”
Close the lead
Response options for closing
a lead:

• “Request Closed – Follow up Complete”


when you successfully connected with the
Customer.
• “Request Closed – No Response” when you
reached out and the Customer never
responded.
• “Request Closed – No Interest” when for
whatever reason, the Customer determined
your solution was no longer of interest.
• “Request Closed – Test” use this option to
close any test leads that you created.
Close the lead - steps

• Choose the leads statuses you


wish to change by checking
the boxes next to them

• Change the status using the


dropdown box

• Click “GO”

• Check to see that the status


has changed
Important: Confirm the lead was received

• If the lead status is not changed within 48 hours, Microsoft


will reach out to you to confirm the lead email was received

• Microsoft will work with you to debug and resolve any issues,

Customer Confirmation
• Once the status is changed to
“Request Closed – Follow up
Complete” the Customer will
receive an email with a link to
a survey. The Survey will be
sent for this CLOSED status
only.

• Both you and Microsoft will


have access to the survey
results
