A basketball is a spherical ball used in

basketball games and is usually made of

leather, rubber, or a synthetic composite.

Basketballs are important to the game as

they are used for possession and scoring.
The team with the ball has “possession”.
When they shoot the ball into the net they
earn points for their team. The ball can be
passed to teammates, shot at the hoop, and
dribbled up and down the court.

It’s a inflatable inner rubber bladder,

generally wrapped in layers of fiber and
then covered with a surface made either
from leather (traditional), rubber, or a
synthetic composite, 29.5 in
circumference and its standard weight off
22 oz.
24 SECONDS SHOT CLOCK
The shot clock counts down the 24 seconds,
starting from the instant that a team gains possession.

30 SECONDS DEVICE
The ball must leave the player's hand prior to the
expiration of 30 seconds. After leaving the player's
hands, the ball must make contact with the basket ring.
If it fails to do so within 30 seconds, a 30- second
violation has occurred.

TIME WATCH & SCOREBOARD

Scoreboards in basketball display the time left in
the game OR how long is left in your quarter.
Scoreboards also display the score both teams, how
many timeouts you have requested and how many
team fouls each team has.
The score sheet is the official record of
the game. If there are any disputes, the
officials will refer to the score sheet. Please
check before you start that all players are
listed, the coaches' names are recorded, and
the correct teams named. Teams need them
to document participation for eligibility in
state or national tournaments, or to
provide verification of a suspension
served.

A basketball score sheet is critical for

official games. It's an important document
used to keep track of scoring, fouls, and
timeouts.
Basketball rims, or hoops, are orange
painted goals attached to the backboard
and used for scoring points in a game of
basketball. A basketball hoop is the ring that
players try to throw the ball into in order to
score points for their team.

The goal or hoop refers to the orange

rim that is mounted to the backboard, but in
common language, the terms are used when
people are referring to the complete sets that
make up basketball systems.

The standard size of the board are 120cm,

while in the rim – metal hoop are 45cm and 20
millimeters thick.
The basketball court is where the
game of basketball is played. Basketball
can be played inside or outside on a variety
of surfaces, including cement, concrete,
and wooden floors. Each team has a hoop
to defend located on both ends of the court.

The measure of the court is 28

meters in length and 25 meters in width.

Basketball court has 10 parts;
