 INTRODUCTION OF CPU

CPU is a brain of Computer

The main chip in a Computer is the Microprocessor Chip

which is also known as the CPU.

It is the main part of the Computer where instructions are

processed.

The CPU is mounted on a printed circuit board called the

main board or Motherboard.

ALU (Arithmetic Logic Unit)

CU (Control Unit)
MU (Memory Unit)
 ALU (Arithmetic Logic Unit)

This unit consists of two units -

Arithmetic Section
Logic Section

Arithmetic Section :- Function of Arithmetic Section is to

perform operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication
and division.

Logic Section :- Function of Logic Section is to perform logic

operation such as coping, selecting, matching and merging of
data.
 CU (Control Unit)

CU checks ordaining operations or check

sequence in which instructions are executed.
