While opinions vary, routine physical exams are
generally recommended once a year if you're over the
age of 50, and once every 3 years if you're younger
than 50 and in good health. If you have a chronic
disease or other ongoing health issues, you should see
your doctor more often, no matter how old you are.

• Health care is expensive - but in the U.K. - not
directly to me. It is of course free at the point of
delivery & in Scotland prescriptions are also
free.
• Having said that - I rarely go to the doctor &
am happy taking simple remedies for simple
illnesses. (I am a retired GP).
• I would not like the idea that cost stopped
someone seeing their doctor if they were ill.
• The NHS will basically pay whatever it costs
for treatment.
