Amazon Fire Phone failure
 The primary cause of the failure of the amazon fire
phone was that the phone had limited features and
lacked uniqueness.

One of the most notable features was the app store which
was significantly small compared to other phones. Amazon
had approximately 240000 apps compared to the google
play store, which has more than one million apps (Wells et
al., 2018). The phone also lacked vital apps such as dropbox
and the fire phone users had various challenges accessing
Google apps such as YouTube, Gmail, and google maps.
The phone was too expensive.
The launch price of the Amazon Fire Phone was $199, which was
almost the same price as that of the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy.
The company later dropped the cost of the phone, but it was too late
(Robischon, 2017).
The phone was late for the market.

During its launch, Apple was in its eighth generation, and android
phones have been in the market for a long time (Aversa et al., 2017).

The phone lacked a unique design


The phone lacks a unique feature that would enable it to be
competitive in the market.
Recommendation

Improve the smartphone features.

Amazon should consider the introduction of essential features despite some of them
being google features or Apple features.
Price
The phone cost should be fair based on its features.
