Application blank is the commonest device for getting information from a prospective candidate. This serves as personal record of the candidates bearing personal history profile, detailed personal activities, skills and accomplishments. SELECTION TESTS
Individuals differ in many respects including job related abilities and skills. Individual differences in terms of abilities and skills need to the adequately and accurately measured for comparison this is done through a device called selection test. Selection test is a device that uncovers the information about the candidate which is not known through application blank and interview.

RECRUITMENT AND SELECTIONS IN HOSPITALS

VELLORE AKSHAYA HOSPITAL Which has around 20 beds, Staffs needed are 1 general physician MD (age above 35) direct interview 1 gynecologist MD DGO (age between 35 to 40) experienced with reference and direct interview 2 or 3 duty doctors, general MBBS freshers (interviews or direct merit based taking) or retired doctors (on experience) 1 general surgeon - on call, experience depends (age 50-60)

Nurses Chief Nurse - M.Sc Nursing age above 45 (by reference and interview) 6 to 8 nurses (age 25 to 35) freshers B.Sc in nursing (merit based) or with experience with 3 to 5 years diploma in nursing. Shift: Night and Day Shifts alternatively every week

Ward Boys 2 or 3 male middle aged (Shift: Night and Day Shifts alternatively every week) Selection based on 10th or 12th pass with psychological test conducted to test the patience. Sweepers 4 Sweepers - 2 for the day and 2 for the night (people above 45 preferably women)

Managers (Direct interview held by hospital head or owner) PRO - Public relations officer Marketing (urban and rural) - Young and energetic dealing with doctors to send patients MBA in marketing and HR Finance manager - MBA in finance (above 50 years old) Accounting-clerk - 45 + age experience

Laboratory clinical Technicians - 1 male 1 female (both young) Having B.Sc in respective fields Pharmacy 1 pharmacist B.Pharm (age 40 above) experience and reference 2 helpers and attenders (young or middle age with familiarity in medicines at pharmacy) needs atleast 2 years experience (references)
