Choosing Location.

The first step into scouting for a great location. These pictures above were the ideas which I singled down to
before recording.
My first idea was to use the board as a backdrop as with the glare from the lighting I feel would of had a nice
effect. The only downside was that you could see the camera and the crew behind it.

The next idea was to have them sitting back to a green screen. However this was a bad idea as after some
thought that there would be a green outline of the interviewee in the video file which would not look ideal.

The final idea which would become the idea I chose would be the bench with a white wall with the logo of acland
burghley behind. This was the ideal position as it would provide easy access to the equipment and being able to
adjust levels of the interviews would be a ideal.

The first step was to ensure that the positioning of the interviewee was set into an
ideal pose.
This being a medium-close up containing the thorax and up.
That due to the topic of the interview being violence in the media and videogames.
By ensuring that the interviewee was level and in focus.
Have the shotgun microphone was plugged incorrectly and angled towards the interviewee

The location that I was conducting the interview in has alot of drafts and wind drift so to avoid the issue of the
audio. Using my iphone and recording audio using the “Voice Memos” app I was able to have the phone out of
the camera shot but directed towards the interviewee.
