PIVOT 4A Budget of Work (BOW)
in MAPEH
 a resource material in teaching that contains
learning competencies from Grade 1 to Grade 10 as
prescribed by the K to 12 Basic Education
Curriculum.

 The number of learning competencies was based

from one grade level to another.
The crafting of this budget of work will facilitate
easier access to teaching and serve as a guide on
delivering each lesson based on the latest curriculum
guide where the Most Essential Learning
Competencies (MELC) presented by DepEd is
anchored.
There were learning competencies from the
Curriculum Guide that was merged to other
competencies in MELC. Learning competencies from
the CG that are not included in the MELC will be
utilized as enabling/ bridging competencies. BOW will
bring a new opportunity for the teaching-learning force
to explore a new way of delivering an effective, easier
and accessible student centered learning.
 Physical Education and Health on the other hand focusses
on teaching how to keep our body to be in its utmost
condition. It also aims to strengthen each students’
involvement to sports and physical development.

 Each grade level provides health programs that will

provide them holistic development alongside with
different fitness program, individual and dual sports such
as badminton, basketball, volleyball and many others.
MOST ESSENTIAL LEARNING
COMPETENCIES

 There are 5,689 learning competencies

distributed in different learning areas.

DEVELOPMENT

ENGAGEMENT

ASSIMILATION
ASSESSMENT
 In terms of assessing our student’s
performance, our task at this point in
time is to gather/collect the result of our
students output and wait for the
guidelines on how we can evaluate our
learners.
ROLE OF PHYSICAL
EDUCATION TEACHER IN THE
NEW NORMAL
 Particularly on how we can impart our
knowledge and skills using different modalities.
 Teaching Physical Education during this time of
pandemic is really a big challenge to us. We
were used in demonstrating a physical activity in
front of our learners.
MODALITIES

 Online Distance Learning

 Modular Distance Learning

Online Distance Learning

 Teaching Physical Education is 100% possible because

we can demonstrate, show the skills to our students.

 For example, let us have the Most Essential Learning

Competency under Grade 7…
 MELC1 for G7 : Undertakes physical activity and
physical fitness assessment.
 In the Learner’s Material of G7 page 13, Physical Fitness was
defined and it was associated with leisure activities and
recreation.
 We can discuss the components of physical fitness (based on
the module).
 But the most exciting part here is to let our students know the
value of fitness and recreation. Especially during this time of
pandemic.
 We can ask our students to create their own video and
demonstrate some activities that will promote fitness and
recreation.

TEACHER MAY DEMONSTRATE…

 HOOLA HOOP
 JUMPING ROPE
 If does not have the ability to
demonstrate/do the skill. You can use the
online video.
 Encourage our students to use and improvise
materials that are available inside the house.

Recreational activities example:

 Playing puzzles and other brain games
 Dama
 Sardinas with rubber bands
 Pasta
MODULAR DISTANCE
LEARNING
 The content of the module must contain the
complete instruction of the activity. It should be
simple and  easy to understand.

 Drawings/Illustrations must be included.

NO MODULE?

NO PROBLEM.
