What is climate change?
Climate change: Climate change refers to long-
term shifts in temperature and weather patterns.
These transformations may be natural and occur,
for example, through changes in the solar cycle.
But, since the nineteenth century, human
activities have become the main cause of climate
change, mainly due to the burning of fossil fuels,
such as coal, oil and gas.The burning of fossil
fuels produces greenhouse gas emissions that act
like a cover that wraps around the globe, trapping
the heat of the sun and raising temperatures.

Melting ice around the world.

Sea level rise.
Destruction of some wild habitats and the lack of habitat.
Many animals migrate to cooler areas.
Increased rainfall around the world.

The impact of climate change on water resources

Increased evaporation of water affects the absorption of water from oceans, lakes, soils and plants.
Heavy rainfall on Earth leads to flooding, which can cause the death of large numbers of humans and
animals.
The change in temperature affects the change of the main sea currents.

The field of building materials and its relationship to climate change:

Building materials are different due to climate change as the materials used in construction in coastal
areas are different from others.
The most commonly used materials are steel, aluminum, glass, ceramics, concrete. This material is considered less susceptible to
.the aggressive environment

Concrete that has so far been considered a very strong material against every exotic environment to be vulnerable to the aggressive
environment prevailing on and near the sea coast. in
Salt attack:
It is the worst effect of the marine environment on structures, especially on reinforced concrete structures, is the corrosion of reinforced steel due to the
formation of salt cells where it creates a tendency to concrete. 
  Sand explosion:
The seaside is sandy. Often strong winds or cyclonic storms blow, they hit the walls of buildings causing damage such as corrosion of plaster, masonry, door
doors and windows.
