ARTICLES// CURRENT EVENTS
Articles will be assigned to groups of 3 students each week, each
student will submit 3 questions to Prof. Fuentes, and will be used in
class discussion
Current event articles: what is the article about? How does it relate to
equity/diversity? What are your initial thoughts and reactions?
**Students may be asked to share their article during class discussion

REFLECTIONS: CRASH & FINAL
Descriptions
Crash reflection: Pick 2 characters from the movie and analyze their supports and
challenges as discussed in the Outliers book. Compare and contrast power, equity and
privilege between the two characters.
Final: A written version of your identity presentation, how does who you are, where you
grew up, and your resources shape where you have ended up today? Finally, include
how you will apply what you have learned in class will help you in your field of study.
