• Persuading texts
- Persuasive texts are constructed to make the reader
do something.
- Writing intended to persuade or convince.
- Ex. ( advertisements, posters, brochures, Political
speeches, propaganda, etc.)
• Argumentative essay
- An essay that uses evidence and facts to support the claim it's
making. Its purpose is to persuade the reader to agree with the
argument being made.
- Introductory
- The body or supporting details
- Concluding paragraph

INFORMATIVE ESSAYS

The Informative text, or expository essay, is a type of


non-fiction that tells a reader facts about a topic
It is written with the intention of informing the reader
about a specific topic. It is typically found in
magazines, science or history books, autobiographies
and instruction manuals.
INFORMATIVE ESSAYS

• Explains a certain issue or topic.


• Educate others on a certain topic
• Only states the facts
• Never express your opinion or try to convince others to take a
certain action or stance.

approximately one hour to donate blood. This essay will explore
how to donate blood, whom it benefits, and how often you can
contribute to these life-saving measures

becoming a problem, is also going to be a risk when your
child has unlimited access to a smart phone. Clearly,
elementary school-aged children are not emotionally mature
enough to handle the responsibility of a smart phone, and the
borrowing of a parent's cell phone should be highly
monitored to ensure safe and healthful usage.
