INTRODUCTION
• A Battery Management System (BMS), which
manages the electronics of a rechargeable battery,
whether a cell or a battery pack, thus becomes a
crucial factor in ensuring electric vehicle safety. It
safeguards both the user and the battery by
ensuring that the cell operates within its safe
operating parameters.
OBJECTIVE
• A good battery gives an electric vehicle the power to traverse long distances
without any tension. But when upgraded with next-gen technology such as IoT and
AI the entire system is bound to become even more enhanced.
• The condition of the batteries must be constantly monitored during their use. For
this, battery users and manufacturers develop battery management systems
(BMS). When batteries are used outside the desired limits (overcharged or over
discharged), they are damaged.
• The battery health status provides the user with information about the life of the
battery and informs the user about when to replace the relevant battery.
