Engineered Bamboo from Rizome & Dragonwood
Architectural Material and Structural Element Made in the Philippines
Engineered Bamboo is a Sustainable Material that is aligned to NEDA’s
Sustainability-based Economic Model

Rizome bamboo products are made from giant

bamboo species such as Dendrocalamus asper. Its
large diameter provides extra thick material and the
versatility required for varied applications.

We’re cultivating the giant bamboo in the Philippines

and now in Florida and building the world’s most
reliable supply chain of bamboo products for the
construction industry and Rizome is ESG certified.

NEDA DG Arsenio Balisacan said that country’s

production and consumption process are needed to
sustain growth that should not be at the expense of
the environment.

in Bangalore International Airport (16 secs)

The Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Department

of Transportation (DOTr) are set to create a technical
working group to further improve the country's air and
sea ports.

The creation of the group was approved during Tourism

Secretary Christina Frasco’s meeting with
Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista on August 8
2022, where the former proposed to make existing
airports and seaports "more aesthetically pleasing,
convenient, and tourist-friendly."

Project the for the Use of Engineered Bamboo for as Dual Gauge Rail Sleeper
for At-Grade Solis to Calamba Rail Line

The TU in Munich tested the

Dragonwood Engineered Bamboo Rail
Tie.

They performed pull out tests for the

bolts, 3 million load cycles with
inclined load, 5 million load cycles
with straight load and several stiffness
tests. Also the reaction to heat and
cold was investigated.

Bamboo Rail Ties can be used or rail

tracks with an axle load of 22.5 tons at
