Old City of Berne
The old city of Bern, built by Berthold V in 1191 on the banks of
the Aare River, is now the old town of Bern, Switzerland. The city
was built on a hill surrounded by the river on three sides and
remained compact from its foundation until the 15th century. Most
of the city was destroyed by fire until 1405. It was later rebuilt on
sandstone, and the main buildings were generally built in the 18th
century. In 1983 it was declared a World Heritage Site. Many of
the buildings in the Old Town and the entire town are currently
designated as Swiss National Cultural Property.

Historic Centre of the City
of Salzburg

The Historic Centre of the City of Salzburg is the old city center of
Salzburg, Austria, spanning both banks of the Salzach River, with
its many Baroque churches, castles and palaces, and was
inscribed on the United Nations Educational, Scientific and
Cultural Organization's World Heritage List on December 5, 1996.
Palace and Gardens of
Schönbrunn
From the 18th century to 1918, the Palais des Beaux-Arts was the
palace of the Habsburg emperors of the Holy Roman Empire and
the Austrian Empire. It was built as a separate, self-contained
architectural project in the Rococo style. It is also home to the
oldest continuously operating zoo in the world, the Mesquite Zoo,
which was completed in 1752 and presents a remarkable baroque
architectural style throughout, a perfect representation of the
overall art.
Eggenberg Palace

Eggenberg Palace, a castle complex in Graz, Austria, is the most

famous baroque palace building in the state of Stellmark. Known
for its well-preserved decorations and scenic gardens, the castle
is one of Austria's most valuable cultural assets and bears witness
to the Eigenberg family, once the most powerful nobility in the
state of Stellmark.
