levels for the benefit of both the
environment and humanity. Environmental challenges are addressed by
environmentalism, a social and environmental movement, via advocacy,
education, and activism. Human-caused environmental damage is a
worldwide, continuous issue. The global human population is anticipated
to increase by 2 billion people by 2050, reaching 9.6 billion people.
Human impact on the environment may be evident in a variety of ways.
One of the most significant effects is a rise in global temperature.
According to the study "Our Changing Climate," the global warming that
has occurred over the last 50 years is mostly the result of human activity.
Since 1895, the average temperature in the United States has risen by 0.7
°C to 1.1 °C (1.3 °F to 1.9 °F), with the majority of the rise occurring since
roughly 1970.

This campaign envisions a society in which production and distribution

are based on going green, and where it is recognized as a basic right to
breathe clean air and drink clean water in the environments in which we
live, work, go to school, play, and pray—regardless of race, gender,
sexual orientation, age, culture, ability, nationality, or income.
