Who decided on the current voting system

Billy Hughes introduced preferential voting meaning the people running for prime
minister are voted on, by the Australian citizen above the age of 18.
How are leaders chosen?

The Prime Minister is chosen by voting. Every citizen of Australia above the age of 18
must vote. If they don’t, they are fined.
Australia lets Prime Ministers service the country for as long as they want( if not voted
out).
How does Australia's electoral process work? 
 

• Australia forces all Australian citizen above the age of 18 to vote, letting everybody have a fair
chances at winning the election, if they don’t vote they are fined 1200 dollars.
What are Australia's values and how do they protect
the human rights of all Australian citizens? 
Australian values:
• Freedom to have any religion(also the freedom to believe in no religion)freedom of speech and association .
• Commitment to the law.
• Equality for everyone.
• Fair go for mutural respect, tolerance, compassion to those in need and equality of opportunity for everyone.
• Recognizing the English language is the national language.
What previous voting systems have there been?

Before 1899 women were not allowed to vote,that changed in 1899-1900.


What ensures that everyone is equal before the law and must follow the law?
