PROSE

• PROSE – Is basically a literary piece presented in the pattern of
natural, straightforward, and ordinary language written in sentences
that are arranged in paragraphs. It does not pay much attention to
metrical or rhythmic structures but is most concerned about the
accuracy of grammatical structure, punctuations, capitalization, and
syntax.

• Prose is an example of prose writing, as is most human


conversation, text books, lectures, novels, short stories, fairy
tales, news paper articles, and essays.

• Biography
• Authography
• Folktale
• Novels

WHAT IS A FOLKTALE?
Folktale were passed down from generation to generation by word of mouth, which is called tradition
Folktale were made up to explain the wonder of the world or to teach morals and lesson.

Biography is a story written about someone’s life.


An example of biography is
• A Book about the story of President Obama’s life.
• Tell readers who you are and what you do.

An Authography is the story of the life of a person, written by that person himself, for example
• She revealed this and other details of her in her two authographies.

Simile
