How to create vocabulary cards to study


Learning Objectives
By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:
•  log in to Chromebook and go to the Quizlet homepage and sign in
• take out vocabulary words needed to make study flashcards
•  generate one individual title for their study set.
• input terms and definitions and find the corresponding image to help remember 10
vocabulary words.
• check their products for completing 4 out of the 5 requirements
• demonstrate how to save, share, and study their set.
Instructor Manual
• Pre- Instructional Activity- displaying the definitions side of a flashcard that I
have created and asking them for the term. I will then ask them to share how
creating flashcards can help in the classroom.

• Pre-Test: none

• Entry Skills: Learners are expected to know basic keyboard skills and transferring
information from paper to screen.

• Post Tests: assessed throughout instruction and checked with rubric

• Laptop/Desktop/Tablet
• Vocabulary Word List
• Quizlet Study Cards Rubric
• Document Camera
• Interactive Board
• Tutorial Videos(link in notes)(attach in Google Classroom for students to refer
back to at anytime)

Teacher will take anecdotal notes as

Practice Tests needed to note strengths/weaknesses for


basic keyboard skills, accessing browsers
and logins. Students may be paired for 1-
1 support if showing non-mastery of
perquisite skills.

This can be optional as teachers may


know there students without the need of
anecdotal notes.
Assessments
Each student will get a rubric to use
as a self-assessment. Since the
activity is for studying purposes, no
grade will be taken.

Teacher will evaluate student’s


work with this rubric.
