Supporting NEs: The region where the Coordinated Scheduling based Power Control (CSPC)
feature is enabled supports a maximum of 174 cells. The maximum number of subscribers
supported by each cell is 200. Once the number of subscribers in a cell exceeds the specification,
this cell automatically exits the CSPC region.
Customer requirements: Inter-cell interference exists on the LTE network. The signal to interference
plus noise ratios (SINRs) of the UEs needs to be increased to improve network performance.
Service gains: This feature effectively coordinates the inter-cell interference, increases the capacity
of cells with high Physical Resource Block (PRB) usage, and increases the throughput rate of cell-
edge UEs.
Competitive edge: Downlink coordination and scheduling related features of the LTE system are
available from peer vendors.
Synchronization requirements
Area: network level
Frequency
Accuracy: cyclic prefix level, about ±1.5
microsecond
NE Function Description
A UE measures and reports the reference signal received power (RSRP) of its serving cell and
UE neighboring cells, measures and reports the channel quality indicator (CQI) of the serving cell, and
receives the DL scheduling information from the eNodeB.
An eNodeB maintains the information, such as the RSRP measurement, MCS, and scheduling rate
eNodeB for each served UE and sends the information to the centralized controller. After receiving the
configuration suggestions from the centralized controller, the eNodeB updates the DL power for
each served cell and neighboring cells to improve the channel quality of the UEs.
The centralized controller performs scheduling in a centralized manner based on the UE information
Centralized provided by eNodeBs, generates the suggested DL power configurations for all the cells, and
controller delivers the results to the eNodeBs. Specifically, the centralized controller provides the following
(centralize functions:
d • Sets CSPC algorithm parameters for eNodeBs.
scheduling • Maintains the UE information provided by the eNodeBs.
board) • Runs the CSPC algorithm. Generates the suggested DL power configurations for all the cells
based on the RSRP and scheduling information about UEs.
• Delivers the power configurations to the eNodeBs.
M2000 On the U2000, users can enable or disable the CSPC feature, query the feature enabling status and
cell power configurations, and review the gains brought by the CSPC.
Note: The data reporting period of the eNodeB and the power configuration
delivery period of the centralized controller are the same, namely, T.
• UE information reporting and power configuration delivery occur in sequence. The total delay is determined
by the transmission delay.
• In Cloud BB scenarios, the transmission delay is low, less than 1 ms.

In high-speed mobility, cell load changes so rapidly that the centralized controller cannot respond in a timely manner.
LOFD-001009 Extended Cell Access Radius
The larger the cell radius, the lower the inter-cell interference. CSPC does not apply to low-interference scenarios.
