INTRODUCTION
Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board (CSEB) is a semi government organization engaged in power generation, transmission and distribution. It produces and supplies electricity to the customers of the state of Chhattisgarh in Northern India. CSEB is a wholly owned company of the state of Chhattisgarh. The total installed capacity of the Power Plants of CSEB is 2207.35 MW.

ELECTRICAL SUBSTATION
An electrical substation is a subsidiary station of an electricity generation, transmission and distribution system where voltage is transformed from high to low or the reverse using transformers. Electric power may flow through several substations between generating plant and consumer, and may be changed in voltage in several steps.

Transmission substation
 A transmission substation connects two or more

transmission lines. The simplest case is where all transmission lines have the same voltage.

 In such cases, the substation contains high-voltage

switches that allow lines to be connected or isolated for fault clearance or maintenance.

Distribution substation
A distribution substation transfers power from

the transmission system to the distribution system of an area.

 It is uneconomical to directly connect electricity

consumers to the high-voltage main transmission network, unless they use large amounts of power, so the distribution station reduces voltage to a value suitable for local distribution

STEP-UP TRANSMISSION SUBSTATION

A step-up transmission substation receives

electric power from a nearby generating facility and uses a large power transformer to increase the voltage for transmission to distant locations.

Step-down Transmission Substation

Step-down transmission substations are located

at switching points in an electrical grid.

The step-down substation can change the

transmission voltage to a sub transmission voltage, usually 69 kV.

CONCLUSION
 At this stage of life,everything seems impossible

without electricity,, so we should preserve it..

 As CSEB produces 2207MW of energy,, its our

responsibility to make it a nation wide electricity hub.
