Media Studies Questions 2 & 4 Isadora Morales Question #2
How does your product engage
with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text? Question #2: How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?
My product engages with audiences because it is a topic that everyday students
can relate to. If you don’t know a hall sweep it a random call from the PA system telling teachers to lock their doors and not let any late student in. What they are trying to achieve is no more late students. But what they are getting is a room full of kids at the end of the day who have to serve detention. We decided we want to use this and alter the consequences and form a movie our younger audience would appeal too. The streaming service that appeals most to younger viewers, with movies and T.V shows they enjoy watching would be Hulu. Question #4
How did you integrate
technologies – software, hardware and online – in this project? Question #4: How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this project?
For my project I used my phone for everything, that included editing,
recording, and creating sounds to put in the film. The phone I used to shot some shots and edit was an iPhone 11. I used my regular camera on landscape mode, to shot multiple angles ( mid-shots, close-ups, and point of view). The apps I used to edit was cap cut and canvas. As well as some sound effects I used Garage band. Canva Garage band Garage band was very helpful when it came to I used Canva for the simple edits in the film, such as the providing scary, intense sounds for our films. We ending and parts, where it involved editing of a picture or were able to create our own intense sounds, to find words adding in the film. just what we were looking for and not have doubts later on if we chose the right music. Cap Cut iPhone 11 I used cap cut to edit and make our film come This is the device that I used to film, and to life. This app made editing fairly easy and edit my film. An iPhone 11, although it is made the process far less stressful. With the no camera the quality was good. technology I was able to use it is safe to say I am proud of the film.
