THEORY Laplace Transform of Periodic Functions

definition: A function f(t) is said to be periodic function if there exist a constant T (T>0)
such that f(t+T)=f(t), for all values of t f(t+2T)=F(t+T+T)=f(t+T)=f(t) In General ,
f(t+nT)=f(t) for all, Where n is an integer and T is the period of the function.

If f(t) is a periodic function with period T ie. f(t+T)=f(f),then

2
Aplication: Laplace Transform of Periodic Functions

 The Laplace transform is a mathematical tool which is used to convert the

differential equation in time domain into the algebraic equations in the
frequency domain or s-domain

 The Laplace transform can also be used to solve differential equations.

 It is used extensively in mechanical engineering and electrical engineering.
