CONCEPT OF
COLLABORAT
ION
•Working as part of a group is not
something that comes naturally to
everyone. It takes time and effort
to develop the skills necessary to
be able to put collaborative
working practices into place. Keep
in mind that everyone has
strengths and weaknesses. But by
working as a team, the group can
capitalize on its strengths and
find ways around the areas its
members find more challenging.
CONCEPT OF
COLLABORATI
ON
•Collaboration is when two or
more individuals or groups work
together to achieve an objective
by exchanging ideas and
thoughts. Nearly every
professional function and sector
rely on collaboration skills. The
concept is crucial because it can
help you increase productivity
at work, accelerate professional
growth, and produce better
results in the team.
PURPOSE OF COLLABORATION IN SCHOOL
Learning Collaboratively Helps Students

The collaboration shouldn’t end among the teachers — it should be

used during the school day among students, as well! Plan activities
that give students the opportunity to work and collaborate to learn
and grow from each other.
Collaborative learning has been shown to not only develop higher-
level thinking skills in students but boost their confidence and self-
esteem as well.
Working together can be fun as well

Students collaborating on projects outside of the

classroom learn the benefits of working together.
